The Loudoun Symphony Orchestra Presents “Tchaikovsky with David Kim”

ALDIE, VA — The Loudoun Symphony Orchestra will present its “Tchaikovsky with David Kim” concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 16, at Lightridge High School (41025 Collaboration Drive, Aldie, VA).
Conducted by Loudoun Symphony’s music director, Hayden Denesha, this concert features violin soloist David Kim, concertmaster of the Philadelphia Orchestra, who will perform Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto. Kim has made appearances with orchestras on nearly every continent and will be performing for the first time in Loudoun County. He started playing violin at the age of 3, began studies with the famed pedagogue Dorothy Delay at the age of 8, and received his degrees from the Julliard School. The concert also includes the Sibelius Symphony No. 1 and Dvorak’s joyous Carnival Overture.

The program is underwritten by Toth Financial Advisory Corporation. Concert tickets are $35 for adults, $30 for seniors, $15 for students, and free for children 12 and under. For more program information and to purchase tickets, visit Eventbrite.
Now in its 34th season, the mission of the Loudoun Symphony is to evolve as a premier regional symphony through artistic excellence by providing a variety of programs that enrich, educate, engage, and entertain the community. To carry out this mission, a full season of five concerts will be presented by the Loudoun Symphony Orchestra. The educational outreach program includes the Loudoun Symphony Youth Orchestra program, which now provides performance opportunities for talented students through four ensembles and intensive training through a weeklong Summer Orchestral Institute.
