The Fauquier Bank Opens Its Doors to Seniors
The Fauquier Bank was pleased to participate in the Virginia Bankers Association’s (VBA) Bank Day. The event was held March 29, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Main Office Branch in Warrenton, VA.
The Fauquier Bank had eleven registered high school seniors from schools in Fauquier, Prince William, and Loudoun Counties. The Virginia Bankers Association required that all students who participated write a two page paper on the following topic: “What did you learn on Bank Day that will help you manage your financial future AND what did you learn about how banks support their communities?” The
Virginia Bankers Association will be giving out $26,000 in scholarships to participants.
According to Amanda Atwell, Human Resources Generalist, “The day was very successful! We had seven active and engaged participants who joined us while on their spring breaks. The day kicked off with a presentation from Marc Bogan, President and CEO of The Fauquier Bank, followed by eight bankers from various departments. We look forward to hosting another Bank Day in 2019!”
