Cloverleaf Equine Center Celebrates Cinder’s 20 Years of Dedicated Service

CLIFTON, VA — Cloverleaf Equine Center is proud to announce a remarkable milestone: Cinder, affectionately known as “Cinderella,” is celebrating her 20th anniversary as a therapy horse with the center.

Born in 1997, Cinder joined Cloverleaf in 2005 and has since been an integral part of a wide range of equine-assisted services, including therapeutic riding, physical therapy incorporating horses, and equine-assisted learning. Her calm demeanor and reliable presence have helped clients of all ages and abilities grow in strength, confidence, and independence.

Achieving two decades of active service is an extraordinary accomplishment in the equine-assisted services community. Studies indicate that horses typically remain active in such programs for an average of six to 10 years, making Cinder’s 20-year tenure truly exceptional.

Cinder’s enduring dedication exemplifies the profound impact that horses have on individuals with disabilities, youth from marginalized communities, and recovering military personnel. The benefits of equine-assisted services include improving balance, coordination, muscle tone, and motor skills, while also supporting cognitive, emotional, and social development. Participants often experience increased self-confidence, reduced anxiety, and a stronger sense of connection through their interactions with horses. Cinder’s steady presence over the years has provided countless individuals with these life-changing benefits, embodying Cloverleaf’s mission to help each person realize their highest potential through the transformative power of horses.
