Gentlemen, Start Your Tiaras: Mr. Leesburg Pageant Returns for Year Two!
LEESBURG, VA — The town of Leesburg is in for a treat as Crooked Run Fermentation gears up to host the Second Annual Mr. Leesburg Pageant. This twisted Miss America-style pageant will show off Northern Virginia’s finest men and raise funds for LAWS: Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Services, all while you have a craft brew in hand!
Scheduled to take place in Leesburg’s Market Station on June 1, the Mr. Leesburg Pageant will showcase charisma, wit, style, talent, and community pride as contestants compete for the titles of Mr. Leesburg and Mr. Generosity. With its unique blend of humor and philanthropy, the pageant is quickly becoming a beloved. Mr. Leesburg is a platform for contestants to demonstrate stewardship to the community. Partnered organization LAWS: Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Services celebrates their 40th year in Leesburg this year. To support their service, Mr. Leesburg encourages men to be authentic and secure to speak out against abuse.
“This event is near and dear to me. In 2023 we hosted Mr. Leesburg on April 1 and had to assure folks that it was not a joke!” pageant organizer Abby Devlin said. “Although we hope you have a beer in hand while enjoying some belly laughs, the ultimate goal is to bring attention to the difficult subjects of domestic violence and sexual assault and address the needs of people experiencing it.”
Pageant contestants will be judged in four categories: beachwear, summer formal, talent, and interview. The panel is stacked with experts of pageants and Leesburg culture. Emily Kinsey and Breana Turner, titleholders of Miss Arlington and Miss Loudoun County, will be among the judges rating the gentlemen on their performance. Mr. Generosity will be crowned for raising the most money for the charity in their name. In addition to fame and glory, winners will receive gifts donated by local businesses. The pageant is open to men in all walks of life. There is a $20 entry fee to compete.
The Mr. Leesburg Pageant is free and open to the public. For more information, donations, or to sign up to compete, visit mrleesburg.com or email [email protected]. Join us to celebrate the spirit of Leesburg and support a great cause on June 1 at Crooked Run Fermentation!
