“I felt that there was a desire for our locals and visitors to experience our luxury amenities without necessarily needing to spend a night with us,” shares Raeshawna Scott, Goodstone Inn’s general manager, of the decision to partner with ResortPass and offer day passes to the inn’s saltwater pool and all that comes with it.

Scott continues, “This allows us to invite our locals and those from the region in to experience what I feel is true tranquility.”

Purchased through the ResortPass website or app, patrons can reserve day passes allowing them access to Goodstone Inn amenities without the overnight room reservation. “The price ranges from $35 to $65, depending on the day of the week and availability”. She adds, “That gives guests access to the outdoor heated pool, hot tub, lounge chairs, and tables, as well as access to towels, changing rooms, and showers. You can also purchase food and beverages.”

She concludes, “The passes are 21 and up, so it’s adult-friendly.”

More than adult-friendly, Scott believes the offering echoes Goodstone’s overall focus on wellness. She says, “I am a huge advocate of self-care. This allows guests to focus on self-care at a really reasonable price. [They can] lay back, relax, and float in our saltwater pool. It’s very restorative.”

That ethos is at the center of the dining options available poolside, too. “We have a phenomenal executive chef, Paul Verica, and we are delighted to have him on board to help develop menus with us.” Scott explains, “We really focus on a lighter menu for when you are poolside. Something that you can eat and get back into the pool feeling good.”

As for drinks? “The cocktails are lighter, too. We have a Summer Glow, which is vodka with strawberry and rhubarb. … There is a Sparkling Paloma topped with lavender from our garden.”

Known for farm-to-table excellence, the team at Goodstone sources ingredients for the poolside food and drinks menu from their own gardens.

Access to the pool, which will stay open through October, is just the beginning of what Scott plans to offer through ResortPass. She says, “We are absolutely going to expand upon the amenities guests can opt into.” As an example, she supplies, “When the water levels are appropriate, we’re going to offer kayaking as an option to upgrade on ResortPass, or paddle boating.”

More than amenities access, for Scott, the decision to offer day passes is part of her campaign as general manager to engage with the local community. “It is key for us to continue to engage with our community in a meaningful way.” She continues, “We want to be more than a business that sits in Middleburg; we want to be partners with our community and make sure we are engaging in ways that are impactful.”

As summer fades into fall, Scott is already planning her next steps to accomplishing community support. She shares, “We are offering a ‘Fall in Love with Middleburg’ package which includes gift cards to Middleburg retailers. We want guests that are coming to stay with us … to support our local economy.”

With day pass pool access on ResortPass, ever evolving farm-to-table menus, locally focused shopping initiatives, and a desire to connect with the community, Scott and the team at Goodstone offer plenty for guests to enjoy during a day away or a whole weekend stay. Scott concludes, “We are really excited to reintroduce Goodstone to the community as well as our regional, national, and international communities. We are focused on increasing the services, experiences, and amenities that we offer.”
